Tirysia Review: Status Ailments Turn Every Monster Fight Into a Trap
Ngl, this monster hentai game caught me off guard. It’s a 2D side-scrolling action title where status ailments like Charm and Sticky are the actual threat, not just flavor text. You play an otoko no ko dodging lewd attacks from monster girls. If one lands, you break out using the escape method tied to that ailment. It sits at 4.66/5 across 1,358 reviews and 11,256 sales, so the numbers back it up. Longtime fans of the circle pointed out something interesting. Their earlier games were turn-based, which means the “can’t move” feeling stayed abstract. Here the action gameplay makes it land, and players say that shift turns it into a standout.
How It Plays
This is a 2D side-scrolling action game, and the status ailments are the combat system. You dodge lewd attacks and effect-based attacks, so you either kill enemies or slip past them. Get hit, and you break out using the escape method tied to that specific ailment. Fail to escape in time, and the scene plays out.
Every prior RR Research Society release ran on turn-based battles. Longtime players kept saying the same thing. You could tell your character was in trouble, even though that “genuinely can’t move” feeling stayed faint. Side-scrolling action fixes it. Losing control mid-platform hits different, since a menu just resolves and moves on.
The ailment-versus-action balance is the part I keep coming back to. Charm and Sticky aren’t just damage-over-time filler here. Each one demands its own struggle input, so getting caught turns into a small panic instead of a cutscene trigger. That’s rare in a monster hentai game built around reverse rape and battle fuck.
Fetish coverage comes from RR’s usual open submission process, which explains the range. One reviewer singled out the footjob and face-smothering content as the reason this became a favorite. The game sits at a 4.66 average across 1,358 reviews, as well as 11,256 sales. You play an otoko no ko against monster girls, so the submissive-man framing stays consistent throughout.
The H-Content
The H-content here revolves around status ailments, and that structure is what makes this monster hentai game hit different. You take a lewd attack mid-run, and the game locks you into it. Escaping means performing the specific counter tied to that ailment. Fail, and the scene plays out on you.
Reverse rape drives basically everything. Otoko no ko, submissive man, and nonhuman monster girl tags all sit on this one, so you can guess the direction. Battle fuck is right there in the genre list too. The game builds its scenarios around status ailments like “Charm” or “Sticky”. One buyer credits the fetish spread to the circle’s usual open submissions, which explains the variety.
Footjob content is in here, and one reviewer singled it out — face-work with feet included. The seduction tag isn’t decoration either. Enemies work you over with coquettish pressure before the physical stuff lands. Voice work and a soundtrack from ゆきマルシェ carry the scenes, on top of that.
Here’s the thing longtime fans noticed. RR Research Society built their earlier titles as turn-based battles, so the “I genuinely can’t move” sensation stayed muted. Side-scrolling action changes that completely. Players describe the helplessness as far more visceral now, and a 4.66/5 across 1,358 reviews backs them up.
Characters & Art
The art comes from RR研究会, who handled both illustration and scenario, and that single-hand approach shows. Character designs lean hard into the otoko no ko angle. The protagonist reads soft and vulnerable by design. Enemy designs pull from the monster girl side of things, which fits a monster hentai game built around creature-on-boy pressure. One buyer singled out the cute characters, and that read tracks with what the sprites actually look like in motion.
Side-scrolling action means the art has to work at sprite scale, not just in static CG. Status ailments like “Charm” and “Sticky” each come with their own escape method, so the visual pressure builds while you scramble to break free. Buyers who played the circle’s earlier turn-based titles said this shift made the helplessness land much harder. Watching it play out in real time hits different than reading a battle log, and I agree with them completely.
Fetish variety is the other thing players singled out. The circle gathers content through open submissions, and one reviewer described the resulting assortment as vivid. Footjob and face-smothering material got specific praise. That grab-bag approach swings the visual content across a wide range of monster girl and seduction scenarios. A 4.66 average across 1,358 reviews suggests the art connected with most buyers, since they kept scoring it high.
Story (Spoiler-Free)
The setup here is refreshingly simple. You play a boy who gets dropped into a side-scrolling gauntlet full of hungry creatures. Every enemy wants to trap you, drain you, and break your will. That’s the whole pitch, and honestly the game knows it.
Look — this is an excuse plot, and I mean that as a compliment. The scenario work goes into situation design rather than lore dumps. One longtime follower of the circle pointed out that earlier releases ran on turn-based battles, so the “genuinely can’t move” feeling stayed faint. Switching to side-scrolling action does more storytelling work than any script could, in fact.
Tone-wise, the game leans playful instead of grim. The monster girls tease you, seduce you, and toy with you rather than menace you outright. One buyer noted that the fetish assortment came from the circle’s usual open submissions, which explains the scattershot charm. A few stages in, I stopped expecting narrative payoff and just enjoyed the ride. Turns out this monster hentai game earns its 4.66 rating on vibes and mechanics, not plot.
Pros & Cons
Pros
- Status ailment system drives the action — Charm, Sticky and similar effects each require a specific escape method, so recovery is an actual mechanic rather than a cutscene trigger
- Side-scrolling format sells the helplessness — longtime buyers of the circle’s turn-based titles say the shift to real-time action finally delivers the “genuinely can’t move” feeling their earlier games only hinted at
- Enemies can be fought or avoided — players describe advancing by dodging lewd attacks and either defeating enemies or slipping past them, so combat isn’t the only way forward
- Voiced scenes with an original soundtrack — the product includes voice, and music comes from ゆきマルシェ rather than stock tracks, so the ailment scenes carry audio alongside the visuals
- Fetish content built from public submissions — the circle collects requests from players, and returning buyers single out foot-focused content and monster girl encounters as the payoff of that process
- Otoko-no-ko submissive protagonist played straight — the No Reverse tag holds throughout, so the passive male perspective never flips partway through
- Strong reception at scale — 4.66/5 across 1,358 reviews and 11,256 sales, unusually consistent for an action-format doujin game
Cons
- Action skill gates the erotic content — H-scenes trigger on getting hit and on failing to escape, so players who are good at the platforming see less of what they paid for, while weaker players stall on stages they can’t clear
- Escape inputs interrupt the scenes — every ailment demands its assigned break-out method under a timer, which means mashing through the moments you’d rather sit and watch
- Narrow fetish focus — the tag list and reviewer highlights both center on foot play, reverse rape and submissive-male scenarios, so there’s little here for anyone outside that Otoko-no-ko femdom lane
- Encounters follow one repeating loop — take a lewd attack, suffer the ailment, break free, with the variety coming from which girl caught you rather than from new mechanics
Customer Reviews
I don’t usually write reviews these days, so forgive me, but this was fantastic!! I’ve played every single one of RR Kenkyuukai’s works. And the balance between the status ailments and the action was great. That said, the cute characters show up, and above all, there was so much of the stuff I love here. Footjobs. Getting my face worked over by feet. Which means this is easily my favorite of the year, and it’s looking like my all-time favorite RR Kenkyuukai work too. (I can’t say much since it’d be a spoiler. Still, I’m already head over heels for the first girl who shows up. She’s unbearably cute from start to finish. And I love her.)
Sorry for going on and on about my personal fetishes. Plus, if you think you might share them, I highly recommend it. (For everything else, I’d suggest checking out the reviews from people who explain things more thoroughly than I do.)

The RR Kenkyuukai games up to now were turn-based battles. You could tell the girls were having their way with you, even though that “genuinely can’t move” feeling stayed faint. This time the main focus is side-scrolling action gameplay, which means you savor that “being had” sensation far more. It’s turned into a masterpiece. And the fetish assortment gathered through the usual open submissions is a vivid sight to behold. More than a few made me go, “so this kind of fetish exists too?”
I think it’s become a supreme piece of work that lets you experience, in the truest sense, “the feeling of being had and tormented by girls.”
Mmmmmmm, love it.

It’s a 2D side-scrolling action game. Basically, you advance by dodging the enemies’ lewd attacks and status-effect attacks, so that you can either beat them or slip past them. Take a lewd attack or catch a status ailment, and you have to break out using the method assigned to that particular ailment. And if you can’t escape or cure it in time…
The erotic content consists of in-combat H scenes, defeat H scenes. And some story event scenes. This installment again features full animation for every character, plus over 50 enemy types — a massive volume. Some characters have situations exclusive to their defeat scenes, which means the sheer amount of erotic content reaches a ridiculous level. You get the classics like bondage and charm effects, plus manipulation of your feelings of love, that 10% “real deal” version of time stop, and even getting turned into a princess. A wide variety of status ailments awaits you. There are quite a lot of control keys, so the tuning aims at people with at least some experience with action games. That said, it comes with a Very Easy difficulty and a “revive stronger” feature, so even people who are really bad at action games can eventually clear it. Then again, there’s also a high-difficulty mode. Once you’ve gotten used to it and stopped losing much, you can crank up the difficulty and go get yourself wrecked on purpose. The enemies’ behavior patterns change too, which means you can go get taken down with a pretty fresh feeling.
