I had heard about Sea of the Dead’s reputation but never played it before. So I picked up this set when it came out alongside the expansion pack release. It lived up to the hype — truly an excellent game.

It’s solidly crafted as an FPS, and while there are occasional moments where enemy and ally behavior gets a bit wonky, it’s stable overall. I was able to enjoy playing it all the way through.

You need funds for unlocking skills, expanding facilities, raising affection levels. So on, which had me repeatedly grinding cleared stages for cash. I liked that it’s the kind of system you can sink a lot of time into.

With the additional content included, the volume is insane. You can easily get dozens of hours of gameplay out of this title alone.

That said, on my older GPU (GTX 980), while the game is playable. There’s frequent stuttering even with all graphics settings on “Low,&#8221. So you really do need decent specs for a smooth experience. If you’re worried about whether your PC can handle it, definitely try the demo first to check performance.

I’ll skip talking about the work itself since it’s excellent and others have already covered that. As the title says, this is about controller support — this game does NOT support Switch or PlayStation controllers. From what I looked into, it seems like games made with UE4 can’t use them without installing a plugin. That plugin also requires some PC knowledge to set up. So I gave up on it (it’s not as simple as applying a patch). Keyboard controls work perfectly fine, though. So I strongly recommend trying the free version first to check if everything works for you.

The greatest among all 3D works. I found a game on DLSite that I used to play on Steam, so I bought it. On top of that, the additional DL content is flawless, and the game itself is genuinely fun to play. The standard version offers difficulty settings ranging from beginner-friendly to ones that’ll satisfy hardcore gamers. Of course, you can also re-watch any scenes you missed, which is perfect. And above all, the sheer variety of genres it covers. That’s what really got me and made me buy it again without hesitation.
