So if you’ve been intimidated by the non-human girl designs that would look right at home in a horror game, try dropping your preconceptions—you might find a pleasant surprise waiting.

To put it in terms of feel, it’s much closer to reality than your typical isekai story—more like discovering strange species as a result of space exploration, which makes it easy to get into.

I haven’t played the previous game and I’m playing the Japanese-translated version, but the translation quality was good enough to follow the main story without any issues. There’s nothing where you’d be lost without having played the prequel, and no situations where untranslated text in reaction-heavy moments leaves you stuck. On the flip side, there are quite a few rough spots—dialogue that becomes unreadable because the translation didn’t reach it, or messages where the translated text is so long it spills outside the text window. Fortunately, you can mostly guess the meaning from the characters, so it just slightly breaks immersion.

I cleared everything at base stats except for the Shark Girl. If you’re good at dodging, you can push through pretty aggressively without much upgrading. Excellent work, both dialogue and visuals are exciting. The corruption is nicely done, and the way the main character is demeaned as they fall is very exciting. There’s three parts to the story, one kind of preparing the the main character to fully transform in the second part, and a third that serves as a nice epilogue.

Only complaint would be a few of the visuals getting somewhat messy from the color choice, but not enough to detract from the work overall.
