The Shimmering Horizon and Cursed Blacksmith: Forged, Bound, and Broken by Her
A femdom hentai game built on RPG Maker sounds like a low-effort cash grab. Still, this one runs 16,202 sales deep at 4.53/5 across 2,464 reviews. It’s a Live2D dungeon crawler with roguelike floors and a smithing system, plus a fully voiced cast pulling from 18 different actors. Players kept comparing the combat to Mystery Dungeon games, and the difficulty apparently humbles veterans of that genre. One detail buyers flagged caught me off guard. Even the random enemy girls who reverse-rape you get their own stories and dedicated CG. That’s the kind of care most oneesan domination titles skip entirely, so let’s dig into how it actually plays.
How It Plays
Look — this is a Mystery Dungeon clone wearing a femdom hentai game costume. The dungeon layout regenerates every run, which means no two dives play the same. Turn-based grid combat drives everything, and Shiren veterans will spot it in seconds. Ason built the whole thing in RPG Maker, even though it runs smoother than most doujin RPGs I’ve touched.
Difficulty here is steep. Buyers call it tough but fair, which matches my experience across a dozen failed runs. Burning your corruption rate gauge fires a full-screen heavy damage skill, so a doomed floor can still flip. The first time that desperation blast landed, it saved a run I had already written off.
Souls-like leveling carries your grind between dives, since progress sticks even after you wipe. The smithing system feeds off crafting materials, and those materials devour inventory slots fast. Slot expansion exists as a genuine upgrade path, and players flagged it as a highlight early on. Ason later patched in a rescue feature, which gives struggling runs a real lifeline.
Full Live2D animation and complete voice work sit on top of all that dungeon crawling. Eighteen credited voice actors on a doujin title is absurd, and the 4.53 rating across 2,464 reviews reflects it. One detail caught me off guard. The ordinary enemy girls who reverse rape you get their own stories with dedicated CG. Most reverse rape titles treat mob encounters as filler, even though this one gives every oneesan domination scene actual weight.
The H-Content
The H-content here runs on reverse rape, and the game commits to it hard. The girls take control, which fits the Femdom and Oneesan / Older Girl / Older Sister tags dead on. The corruption rate doubles as your stomach gauge, which ties the erotic pressure straight into combat. I love when a femdom hentai game makes the lewd stuff mechanically load-bearing instead of a side gallery.
The voice work is where this one separates itself. 18 voice actresses cover a fully voiced cast, so scenes land with real performance behind them. One buyer singled out the 2D illustrations paired with that full voicing as a highlight. Hearing an older-sister type talk down to you hits different because the delivery actually sells the domination.
One thing buyers flagged surprised me the most. Even the ordinary trash-mob girls get their own stories told alongside dedicated CG art, which is something most dungeon crawlers never bother with. That means the enemy you brushed past mid-run has actual writing behind her. Turns out that context makes the reverse rape material way hotter than a generic encounter would be.
Fair warning from the player base. One reviewer says to buy this expecting an indie Mystery Dungeon clone with erotic elements, not a pure eroge. The difficulty is genuinely high, so you earn your scenes through actual dungeon runs. I’m fine with that trade since the 4.53/5 across 2,464 reviews tells you the grind pays off. Anyone who wants the lewd content handed over in the first ten minutes should look elsewhere.
Characters & Art
The art here runs on Live2D⟧, and that’s the first thing you notice. Characters actually move during scenes instead of sitting there as static CG. I’ve played plenty of RPG Maker titles where the visuals are just swapped stills. This one animates, which makes the reverse rape scenes land a lot harder.
Character designs lean into the oneesan archetype hard, since the older sister energy is baked into the femdom framing. The anime-style illustrations stay consistent across the roster, and the fantasy setting gives the designs room to vary. What surprised me most was something buyers kept bringing up: even the regular enemy girls get their own stories with dedicated CG art. Most dungeon crawlers treat trash mobs as sprite fodder, so this caught me off guard.
Full voice work covers the cast, and the credited voice actor list runs long. Players noted the overall polish reads way above doujin standard, and the visual side backs that up. One reviewer singled out the 2D illustrations paired with a fully voiced story as a plus. After playing through the dungeons, the art still held up for me.
Story (Spoiler-Free)
The setup here is a fantasy world with a smithing theme running through it, and the dungeon is where you spend most of your time. The layout shuffles every run, which means no two descents play out the same way. Voice work covers the whole story, and that does a lot of heavy lifting for the tone. The vibe stays serious throughout.
What surprised me most lines up with what buyers kept pointing out. Even the ordinary girls who attack you in the dungeon get their own stories, told alongside dedicated CG art. You almost never see that kind of thing depicted, and reviewers said as much. They called out the world-building and polish as things you would never guess came from a doujin circle.
So does the story actually matter here? It matters more than I expected, honestly. One review put it bluntly — go in expecting an indie dungeon crawler with erotic elements, not a straight eroge. That framing is fair, and players said the narrative has real depth because it pulls you in.
Pros & Cons
Pros
- Mystery Dungeon-style roguelike depth — dungeon layouts regenerate every run, so each dive plays out differently instead of repeating a fixed map
- Fully voiced with a large cast — 18 credited voice actresses cover the story, giving even side heroines spoken dialogue
- Live2D animation — the 2D illustrations move rather than sitting as static CG, which players singled out alongside the voiced story
- Smithing system with real inventory tradeoffs — crafting materials compete for bag slots, and slot expansion turns hoarding into an actual upgrade decision
- Corruption gauge doubles as a combat resource — you can burn the stomach gauge for a full-screen heavy damage skill, so a losing run can still be brute-forced through
- Souls-like leveling as a difficulty valve — patient grinding lets weaker players push past walls without needing mechanical mastery
- Story reaches down to random enemies — buyers were surprised that even ordinary mob girls get their own backstories with dedicated CG, well past doujin-level polish
Cons
- Steep difficulty — one self-described Mystery Dungeon veteran admits losing outright, though the same player calls the difficulty high but “not unreasonably so”; newcomers to the genre should expect a real wall
- Game first, eroge second — a player advises buying it expecting an indie Mystery Dungeon-style game with erotic elements rather than an eroge, so anyone shopping purely for H content may be disappointed
- Inventory management friction — smithing materials eat the same slots as consumables and gear, forcing constant discard decisions mid-dungeon before you unlock expansions
- Grind-dependent progression — the Souls-like leveling means the intended answer to a hard floor is often repeating earlier content, which pads playtime for anyone who wants to reach the next scene
- Assist features arrived post-launch — the rescue/help mechanic was patched in after release, so early buyers hit the roughest version of the difficulty with no safety net

A Myst○ry Dungeon game? Listen, I’m a battle-hardened veteran who’s played the hell out of Shi○en, Tor○eko, Ch○cobo, AND Poke○on. Don’t underestimate me. …I’m sorry. I lost. Man, the difficulty is high. Still, it’s not unreasonably so. Even when you’re dying, you can burn your corruption rate (stomach gauge) for a full-screen heavy damage skill, so you can brute-force your way through to some extent. The basic loop: make a weapon, weapon breaks, then combine the broken weapon with materials you picked up to make the next one. You want to carry two weapons. Thing is, early on your carry weight is razor-thin. Your equipped weapon, healing items, and the materials for when it breaks already max you out, which means you can’t carry the items you’d throw at enemies to escape a pinch. You might think you don’t need items like that. Still, the girls you fight here are absurdly strong. The moment multiple girls show up, you can see your death coming. In the second dungeon you’ll run into stuff like four monsters in a single room. How is that NOT a monster house… The basic tactic becomes: put one to sleep with a sleep potion, take down the other one while it’s out, heal up, then finish off the rest. Retreat to a corridor? Sometimes the corridors are two tiles wide, and the girls mostly use ranged skills anyway. You can grow the protagonist with souls, but for the reasons above I’d raise your carry weight first. The skill that lets you equip a weapon immediately after forging is essential too. If I could level up a bit more the difficulty would probably settle into a good place. At my current point, around clearing the first dungeon, it leans a little on the unfair side. Once you get used to it, it seems doable. All in all, it’s an extremely fun Myst○ry Dungeon game. In fact, it’s so damn fun that I forgot to write anything about the sex scenes, despite having used them plenty of times!

Souls-like leveling, so even when it’s tough you can push ahead by patiently grinding ○
The crafting materials for blacksmithing eat up inventory slots. Still, you can expand your slots, which was nice too. It’s just plain fun as a game, and I rate it highly! The erotic content is female-dominant stuff, so I think it’ll really land for people who like the woman straddling the protagonist. Also, the boobs are big… the boobs are BIG.— 同人ゲームが好きな人 (5.0/5)
A review posted after the developer added a rescue/assist feature
This is one of those “Mystery ○ungeon” type games. You know, the kind where the dungeon layout changes every time you go in, so you get a different experience with each run. Let me start with the conclusion: buy this expecting an “indie Mystery ○ungeon-style game with erotic elements” rather than an “eroge.”
The reason being, the time it takes to clear a dungeon climbs exponentially as the stages progress. The time needed for upgrades, the length of the dungeons themselves, the rising difficulty — all of it. Meanwhile, the erotic content only increases at a fixed pace per stage. So the further you get, the more you’re just seeing recycled erotic scenes. The dungeons also start piling on unfair elements from the midgame onward (well, I suppose that’s what Mystery ○ungeon games are fundamentally like. But you don’t expect to grind out serious gameplay while the erotic content takes a back seat in an eroge, right?). Take an instant-death-tier trap that removes all the walls on the floor, so every enemy on it comes charging straight at you. Or trash mobs that lock you in a one-sided stunlock until you get a game over, since you haven’t prepared for them. Or getting surrounded and pummeled by multiple enemies at melee and ranged distance, then suddenly getting warped right into the middle of a huge mob. And so on. With the rescue feature you can go full “I’M SO STROOOOONG!!!” even in situations like those. Still, each use runs about a 5-second animation (can be sped up 2x). Before the rescue feature, clearing through stage 3 took me 20 hours. Stage 4 took just under 2 hours playing with the rescue feature. Part of that was because I went down a time-consuming side path. That’s right around the midgame, which means everything other than the erotic content eats up a lot of time. So go in planning to buy an indie Mystery ○ungeon game, not with erotic content as your goal. I’ve barely played any Mystery ○ungeon-style games, but the craftsmanship here impressed me. Though since I was in it for the erotic content, the supply-and-demand mismatch feels pretty strong…

An outstanding game in every respect — gameplay, world-building, and story alike. The narrative has real depth, so it pulls you in fast. The overall polish is so high you’d never guess this is a doujin game. What surprised me most is something you’d normally never see depicted. Even the girls who attack you as ordinary enemies get their own stories, told alongside dedicated CG art. They’re “not just enemies”. You learn their backgrounds and personalities in detail, which draws you even deeper into the world. The gameplay and graphics are excellent as well, and the beautiful, if apocalyptic, setting gives the story a gorgeous backdrop. The layered storytelling, the fun of it as a game, the individual backstories that make each character shine, the quality of the H-scenes. Top-tier across the board. It’s crafted so meticulously that you start worrying whether this price is really okay, so I’d love for everyone to experience this story for themselves.
